I cannot get enough of NZ coffee. How come noone else in the world can make latte’s so creamy, so tasty and so satisfying? Why is coffee drinking such a smooth and pleasurable experience at a kiwi cafe, but such a disappointing hassle in India?
Case in point: This morning I went to Indigo Deli, a very expensive and ‘european’ cafe to grab a bread roll for lunch and a morning coffee to takeaway. To start with the bread rolls were stale and from the day before (and this was at 10am, nor particuarly early), and then my coffee arrives.. in a 0.5L plastic juice cup, 1/4 full with boiling hot, non-creamy, non-tasty coffee that was melting the plastic, and was too hot to hold… and the stupid guy behind the counter was wondering why i was looking so irritated at the whole thing!
